New Friends and Old Friends

Today reminded me of what friends are, and why it is so important to take care of the relationships you have with them. After dropping Stan off at the train station today, I went and had some coffee, talked with Hazel and spent the rest of the day with my aunt Jane, and her boyfriend Jim. Jane actually spent most of the afternoon sleeping, so I got to spend quite a bit of time with Jim, and really have to say, I had a great time. He is interesting (works in computers so we enjoy alot of the same things in life) as well as just has a great personality, I can really see why my aunt loves him. I hope I get to know him more, and spend more time with him.

So that is my new friend, I also spend 2 hours after the train station, talking to Hazel. We have known each other for about 3 years and let me tell you, she is wonderful. She is intelligent, funny, complicated, and sexy. The two of us seem to really understand each other and interact better than I can say 99 percent of people do. I would say that we would be dating if we did not have the problem of spending too much time together and driving each other nuts. As for our conversation today, it was nothing out of the ordinary, just about life and the day to day things that have gone on since we talked last. If I realized anything from it though, it was that I wish I was closer to her, she always makes me smile.

The reason I stayed though, was so I could have dinner with my aunt, Jim, and her friends, the Jones. Their daughter and I used to play together as small children, and she recently won a big beauty contest and I wanted to give my congratulations. She has grown up so much, and is very beautiful, though the part of her that made me smile was that I could see the person I used to enjoy so much inside. She had the same smile, and laugh which is who she is no matter how they pose her. Her parents were delightful as well, and I hope to see them all soon. I will not let another decade pass us by.

P.S. Jim, the dinner was fabulous
